Full Member (New)

Full Members must (1) hold a Doctorate in Psychology, (2) be licensed as a psychologist in the State of California, or (3) be a Diplomat of the American Board of Professional Psychology. (For the purposes of determining CPA member status, Licensed Educational Psychologists are accepted on the same basis as Licensed Psychologists.) There is a three-year graduated dues schedule: 1st year: $139; 2nd year: $238; 3rd year and on: $359.

Early Career/New Doctorate Member (1st and 2nd years)

New Early Career/New Doctorates must meet the same membership requirements as full Members, except they will have received their Doctorate either in 2013 or 2012. Those meeting this requirement receive a discount off Member dues. Dues are $77.

Early Career/New Doctorate Member (3rd and 4th years)

New Early Career/New Doctorates must meet the same membership requirements as full Members, except they will have received their Doctorate either in 2011 or 2010. Those meeting this requirement receive a discount off Member dues. Dues are $141.

New Associate Member

Associate members are persons who hold a Master's Degree in Psychology or the equivalent. If you are a matriculating student, you may apply as a student. Dues are $193.

New Student Member

Student members are matriculating students in a psychology graduate program, or postdoctoral fellows in an organized psychology training program within a clinic, hospital, industrial or university setting. This does not include students enrolled in an MFT or SW graduate program. Dues are $44.

New Out of State Member

Out-of-state members shall include all persons who meet the membership requirements but who live outside the state of California and wish to participate in CPA. Dues are $141.

New Affilliate Member

Affiliate members shall consist of those persons with an interest in psychology such as, but not limited to, certified para professionals, members of allied professions, high school teachers of psychology, or members of the general public with an interest in psychology. Dues are $141.
